Telehealth
Before the pandemic I practiced therapy in the office like most therapists. When I moved to Telehealth out of necessity I thought that something would be lost. I was wrong. I found that the clients that I worked with were more open and relaxed attending sessions from the comfort of their home in casual clothes with their pets nearby. Attendance improved as well which helped maintain momentum in our work together. If you haven't tried Telehealth and you have the privacy you need to have for remote sessions I encourage you to consider it.
About Me
Perspective
I think one of my strengths as a therapist is my lifelong love of learning. I am interested in many facets of life and have read extensively in areas of spiritual practice, religion, Eastern philosophy, neuroscience, evolutionary biology, alternative medicine, literature, the arts and esoterica. I believe I am able to draw wisdom from those areas to complement the evidence-based therapy that I study and use formally. I also have a sense of humor and can appreciate humor in my clients. The pictures on this website are all taken by me at places I enjoy visiting. Although I have always been drawn to cities for the arts and culture and energy, I learned early in life that there is healing in nature and a quiet that I require for my health and well being.
