Individual Therapy

People come to therapy for so many different reasons it is hard to generalize the work that I do with each individual client.  Many people seek therapy to relieve symptoms of anxiety and depression. The people I tend to work with most have symptoms of anxiety and/or depression brought on by one or more painful and difficult life experiences they have not been able to move past on their own.  I enjoy helping people learn to let go of the anger and disappointment and resentment created by negative experience. Another focus of individual therapy is teaching people how to set healthy boundaries at work and in their personal relationships.  Assertive communication is a skill that goes hand in hand with boundary setting and allows people to advocate for themselves appropriately in all areas of their lives. For some people the process of therapy can help with healing psychic and emotional wounds.  I cannot guarantee your exact experience working with me. I can say with confidence that I will enter our work together fully optimistic that you will see improvements in your life as therapy progresses.
